In 1989, King Charters pioneered the powerboat day charter concept in the British Virgin Islands.   Over the past 17 years, we have entertained close to 20,000 guests, going farther, in more comfort, to more places, than any other day charter company in the country.   Our original 46' flagship, Someday's Today, has been replaced after many years of faithful service in 2005 by Funseeker, a 55' motor yacht. Recognized throughout the BVI, King Charters day trips are by far the most comprehensive and enjoyable days on the water.

In 1998, recognizing the need for visitors to the islands to have access to safe, reliable rental boats, we began our powerboat rental business at Prospect Reef Resort.   Immaculately maintained boats, large enough to handle the BVI waters in all conditions, our rental fleet is outfitted by the boater and equipped as the renter wants, meeting both U.S. and BVI safety standards and making ours the best powerboat rentals in the BVI.

Initially chartering from Inner Harbour Marina in Road Town, we moved several times to accommodate a growing fleet and are now based at Nanny Cay Marina, the most desirable location on Tortola, centrally situated between Road Town and West End.

King Charters, Ltd. was incorporated in the British Virgin Islands in 1989 as a spin-off of a bareboat charter company which was founded in 1986.   We are owner-operated, professionally staffed and have more than twenty years of experience in local waters.   King Charters is an auxiliary member of Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) and a founding member of the BVI Daycharter Association.
